A research team at the UC Davis Center for Community and Citizen Science needs your input! They are working on a project to understand the breadth of community and citizen science (CCS) projects related to marine and coastal issues throughout California. If you have organized or overseen aspects of an ongoing or past project that engages or engaged members of the public in scientific monitoring activities, collecting data, interpreting results, and/or impacting management or basic research, they want to hear from you! Please follow this link to complete a brief (10 to 15 mins) online survey to share about your projects. The results of this survey will provide basic information about CCS efforts across the state and help agencies such as the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), California Ocean Protection Council (OPC), and the California Fish and Game Commission better understand the current state of CCS in contributing to marine and coastal monitoring and management.If you have any questions about the survey or overall project, please contact Dr. Todd Harwell (taharwell@ucdavis.edu) or Dr. Ryan Meyer (rmmeyer@ucdavis.edu) with the UC Davis Center for Community and Citizen Science.
