About this Project
A joint MPA Compliance Small Grant project between the Humboldt and Del Norte MPA Collaboratives resulted in the creation of a brochure containing information related to MPAs throughout Del Norte and Humboldt Counties. The 6-panel brochure focuses on MPA regulations, local tribes, and marine ecology of the region.
This project is part of the MPA Collaborative Networks’ multi-year MPA Compliance Initiative and was entirely driven by local input through the Community Compliance Forums held in 2020 and subsequent collaborative meetings. It was made possible by a grant made through the Sustaining California’s Ocean program of Resources Legacy Fund.
CDFW Approved
This content has been reviewed by California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) staff in an effort to ensure accuracy and consistency with statewide outreach product formats, and foster public understanding and compliance in a way that also supports CDFW enforcement efforts. Outreach products that undergo the CDFW review process are eligible to use the CDFW logo for added recognition.
