About this Project
An overview of California’s Network of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and enforcement efforts for judges, district attorneys, and enforcement officers. Created as part of the MPA Compliance Initiative 2019-2022 by the MPA Collaborative Network in partnership with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, with funding from Resources Legacy Fund and the Ocean Protection Council.
CDFW Approved
This content has been reviewed by California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) staff in an effort to ensure accuracy and consistency with statewide outreach product formats, and foster public understanding and compliance in a way that also supports CDFW enforcement efforts. Outreach products that undergo the CDFW review process are eligible to use the CDFW logo for added recognition.
