This link will take you to the sixth packet of curated posts for April and May. Within each document, you will find text for the post, suggestions on how to customize the content to your specific location, hashtags to use, and links to high-resolution media to accompany the messages. Feel free to modify the content and use it however you’d like- You can change text or images to match your audience and location or use it as it is.
The goal of this campaign is to heighten the visibility of California’s MPAs on social media platforms to increase awareness, particularly ahead of the 2022 MPA management review. Since the start of the campaign in June 2020, there have been over 1,200 posts using #CalifMPAs and over 500 posts using #CaliforniaMPAs, reaching a combined 504,881 unique users across social media platforms!
We sincerely appreciate the effort that has been put in over the past 10 months to raise awareness of our state MPAs, and look forward to the final months of this campaign!
Please feel free to contact katelyn@californiamsf.org with any questions, comments, or concerns.
Scripted MPA PowerPoints Will Be Available Soon!
Over the past year, CMSF staff has been working on creating scripted PowerPoint trainings for counties across the state. There are two for each county- one for an interpretive audience, and one for a consumptive user audience. The goal for these trainings is to provide a slide deck that anyone can pick and choose from to bolster their own presentation materials, or they can use the entire slide deck as it is.
We are happy to announce that presentations for all counties are nearing completion and will be available in the coming months. Stay tuned for the official release!
