NEW job opportunity with California State Parks’ Division of Interpretation & Education. California State Parks is hiring three State Park Interpreter II Watershed Program Coordinators to help design and implement a new statewide interpretive program for the multi-disciplinary Cannabis Watershed Protection Program.
The program is funded by tax revenue from the legal sale of cannabis, and the WPC Flyerwork includes the restoration and interpretation of watersheds impacted by illegal grow sites. It’s an opportunity to collaborate with multiple work groups and partners in sharing the value of healthy watersheds. Positions are remote-centered (telework), but expected to travel regularly within districts most impacted by cannabis grows.
Prospective candidates should read the job posting closely and must verify eligibility for the position by passing the open/continuous State Park Interpreter II exam online prior to submitting their application package. Interpreters new to the complexities of government job applications may find it worthwhile to watch this YouTube video for tips.
